R. \u0160tef\u00e1nik<\/strong>, in addition to \u0160tef\u00e1nik\u2019s bronze statue or sailor\u2019s statue, there is a <strong>memorial of those who had been\u00a0displaced by force or deported<\/strong>. It reminds us of the inglorious history of modern Kom\u00e1rno: almost 2000 Jewish citizens were deported\u00a0to concentration camps between 1944 and 1945. From 1947-48, several thousand citizens of Hungarian nationality were forcefully relocated\u00a0to Hungary after the Second World War. The building of the former <strong>Province Dome<\/strong> is located at the beginning of the pedestrian zone and\u00a0opposite the memorial. From half of the 18th century until the disintegration of the monarchy and establishment of Czecho-Slovakia, the\u00a0Kom\u00e1rno-Ostrihom Province officers had offices there.<b><br \/>\n<\/b><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.komarno.com\/sk\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2013\/06\/Socha-namornika.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-270 alignnone\" title=\"Park of M.
